Now...Better parking and start logistics!

Location / Directions

Where is the Space Race?
The Space Race will be staged at Gulf Greyhound Park.  Gulf Greyhound Park is located one block west of 1-45 south at Exit 17 (Holland Exit), 30 miles south of Houston and 15 miles north of Galveston in La Marque, Texas.

Where should I park?
Plenty of parking is available. There will be assigned parking for volunteers and participants.  The earlier you get there, however, the better the parking!  There will be parking attendants to help direct you.

Start and Finish

The start line will take place at the east end of the Gulf Greyhound Park.  There will be visible markers to instruct all ride participants for the Start/Finish of the 19, 42, 62, 77, and 104 mile routes.

Rest Stops

There will be 8 rest stops throughout the race. The 104 milers will have 9 rest stops (1 rest stop will be used twice).

Bike Parking/Registration

Registration takes place inside Gulf Greyhound Park.  Stands for bike parking will be conveniently located close to Registration and all activities.

Please follow signs and police attendants!!
